The warm body draped over me wakes me up from sleep before the sun is even up. Her leg is tangled over mine and her head is nestled into my neck, and I feel her breath on my ear as she lays asleep next to me. I lost count of how many orgasms I gave her last night and neither of us had the energy to get up from the bed. That’s why I’m now forcing myself to move from the comfort of her. It’s not the bed and it’s not the pillows that make me want to stay here… it’s her.

Unfortunately, I have to get to my bed before James wakes up. Every morning when he wakes up, he climbs into my bed, tucks his little feet under my legs and turns on the television to watch whatever cartoon he’s in the mood for that day. Honestly, there’s no better way to be woken up than that little boy snuggled against me. I know one day he won’t climb into my bed anymore, so I live for those little moments.

This moment right here comes in a close second, though. For a moment, I think to myself how much I’ve missed out on by kicking out one night stands before they fall asleep. Although, I don’t think it's the feeling of any body next to me. This early morning high I’m feeling is Peyton’s body next to me and I never want to come down.

I look over at the clock and see that it’s four in the morning. Carefully, I pull back the blanket from our legs and slide myself out from under her body. She doesn’t wake up but nestles her body into the pillow I was sleeping on.

I take a moment to scan her body from head to toe. We both had a moment of weakness last night where we gave into the temptation that we both have been fighting for far too long. But something shifted between us last night and I want more of that.

Her long, blonde hair is draped over the pillows and is a mess from our hands being all over each other. The thought of last night has my dick waking up to say hi.

I leave her room and make the walk to mine, hating the idea of her waking up without me and wondering why I’m not there, but we live in the same house, and I took the day off work today, which she doesn’t know yet. I had no meetings scheduled so I said fuck it and decided to work from home since I worked in the office all weekend.

Before climbing into bed, I peek my head into James' room and see that he’s sound asleep. I must have been tired enough to doze off the second my head hits the pillow because the next thing I know, James' little feet tuck under my legs the way they always do, and the TV is turned on.

“Good morning, monkey,” I manage to get out despite barely being able to keep my eyes open.
